Prince George’s County Classes

General Information

Classes in schools are cancelled if schools close early or if after-school activities are cancelled. Community centers generally stay open but contact the individual community center to check. If they are open we will try to have class.   

If the location you choose has a 6:00 o’clock class, beginners and white belts must attend that class. The 7:00 o’clock class is for intermediate and advanced youth only. If there is no 6:00 o’clock class at your location, all students attend the 7:00 o’clock class.

Winter Session 2024-25

Fall classes started the week of September 9. Winter classes start in December (January for Greenbelt Youth Center). See the schedule below for details. To register, click the blue links below under “registration” for class listings through parks direct and in Greenbelt. Registration for a class opens about a month before the class start date. Please register before the class start date. Under-enrolled classes will be canceled before the first night.

Registration

Registration is through the Prince George’s  County Department of Parks and Recreation and the City of Greenbelt. Note that under-enrolled classes will be canceled before the first night of class, so please register early! To register for most of these classes, visit the Parks Direct website, click “search”, then click the category that applies to you and scroll down to see the list of classes.  Click the Add to Cart button to the right of your desired class. For Greenbelt classes: go to Greenbelt RecLink, enter search words “TKA karate” and click search or  Click Here and scroll down to see classes.

Note: you will need to create a Parks Direct account in order to complete your registration.

Youth (ages 5-12) and Adult (ages 13 and up) classes
